ABOUT MARIA
Maria Keffler lives in Arlington, VA, near (but not in) the cemetery with her STEM-y hubs, three darling cherubs who all wish they were only children, and an overweight cat with anxiety issues and a prozac scrip. Maria's been writing fiction since kindergarten--
and has been obsessed with paper and yarn for as long as she can remember.

She writes novels and blogs about the trustworthiness of God and the comedic absurdity of life, hoards yarn with as much self-control as an alcoholic on a bender, and tries every day to make dinner without the smoke detector finding out about it. Maria also teaches ESOL and offers trainings on a variety of English- and educational psychology-related topics.
She recently took up skiing to please her husband and children, and is happy to have progressed beyond falling and crying, through falling and swearing, to rarely falling and even less rarely crying or swearing. She has also begun to play the violin and was surprised to learn that one can make a violin sound exactly like bagpipes.
